Kurotsuki stared at the other girl intently, her head tilted to the side. A roommate? Kurotsuki wouldn't have to be all alone anymore? She felt a bit of relief. But it was soon discouraged as the girl didn't even look at the brunette, and just kept her back to her. Kurotsuki frowned. Would it be any different than being alone if this person didn't even acknowledge her, or try to talk? Maybe Kurotsuki wouldn't be able to befriend the person.

Kurotsuki gulped. She had to at least try; she didn't want to have a roommate who hated her without even knowing her. But the more she thought about it, the more the insecurity grew that talking to the girl may make it worse. But she soon kicked the insecurity in the ass and willed herself to at least say something. "Uh, h-hey." She started, but she paused. She wasn't sure on what else to say.

Not having talked to a real person with a real conversation for so long had taken its toll it seemed. Kurotsuki cursed herself in her head at being so stupid as to not think through what she was going to say, and she sub-consciously scratched at her hands in her frustration, and looked down at her hands, without actually looking at them. (A/N: I can see or hear things, but if I'm in my zoning out phase, like if I am thinking or other, I will not comprehend what I see or hear. Sometimes I'll get snapped out of it with an abrupt movement or noise. I've been known to go into this phase right before getting hit. I could block, I could evade, but my brain can't comprehend it fast enough. Kind of like a deer in headlights.)

Kurotsuki jumped out of her thoughts when she saw the girl turn to her. The girl seemed to have a blank look on her face. But there was a faint, very faint, hint of fear and confusion hidden in the expression. And deep in her eyes, Kurotsuki detected a small shine of friendliness. She tilted her head at the girl, and inspected her. She looked so innocent, as if she could never be labeled insane, or be put in a place like this. How had she gotten here? She shook herself of the thoughts, you can't judge a book by its cover, a lot of people say. Although that didn't distress Kurotsuki. No matter the personality, she could befriend anyone as long as they wanted her to be her friend. Or even if they didn't.

The girl seemed to be inspecting Kurotsuki back, as if seeing if she could talk to this person. Evaluating whether Kurotsuki seemed to be a dangerous person or not. Eventually the girl seemed to relax, and took a breath, looking ready to speak. "Hi." She said, a faint, scared smile on her lips.

Kurotsuki immediately smiled back. This person didn't seem to be anti-social. Just a bit scared considering the tone of her voice, and her expression. Maybe she could make a friend out of her roommate. "Hey, my name's Kurotsuki! What's yours?" She said in a cheery voice that sounded as if she wasn't in this place, as if she was in a normal place like school, talking to a new friend. Kurotsuki nearly jumped off her bed in her excitement of making a friend.

The other girl seemed to be kind of stunned with Kurotsuki's sudden character change. "I'm Sarah." She said with a small smile back, and seeming to be less scared.

(A/N: It's Blacky!! =D woohoo~ Lol btw, Kurotsuki doesn't know Blacky.. She never met her. (remember she's me in this story.))
"That's a cool name." Kurotsuki replied calmly. She seemed to of calmed down, and she leaned back against the wall.

"Not really. Your name's better.. It's more unique." Sarah replied.

"Hmm?" Kurotsuki straightened up a bit and looked at the ceiling, rubbing her chin and seemed to be thinking. She than scratched her head and looked back at Sarah. "Eh, not really. It may be unique, but it just doesn't seem as cool when you say it.. I dun know. I'm never good at explaining things." She said scratching her head awkwardly.

"It's alright.." Sarah replied.

They went silent for a few minutes. Kurotsuki sighed and laid down. She didn't like silence, so she started to think of things to say. She wanted to ask about how the girl got here, but decided that was a bit too sudden. Because it may have been something personal; like her own; so thought of other things to say. "Hey." Kurotsuki turned her head to Sarah, and she looked back. "Do you like art? Like drawing and painting?"

Sarah seemed to perk up. "Yeah I do. I draw all the time, mostly digital stuff." Then she seemed to have a worried and sad face. "Uh, Kurotsuki, will they let us draw here?"

"Yeah. If you want to we can go down to the activity center. There you can draw and watch T.V a bit. I think they have some games and books too.. No computer though. I heard they might get one soon.. I hope they do." Kurotsuki said, looking at the ceiling.

"We can leave this room?" Sarah asked. Kurotsuki nodded her head. "Then why didn't you?"

"Yeah, we can leave this room. Just until lock down though, when everyone goes to sleep. And I didn't leave this room right now because, 1. I just woke up, and 2. None of the other people here seem to like me, and they don't really pay attention to me when I talk to them." She said, closing her eyes as if thinking, and a sad expression crossed her face.

"Oh, I see."

"Yeah. I guess they just think I'm annoying." Kurotsuki yawned and rubbed her eyes. "Hey, do you have a deviantart? Because a lot of the artist's I know do." 'well, used to know is more of the word. Although they may still remember me if we ever do get a computer here and I talk to them again..' She thought.

"Oh, yeah I have one."

Kurotsuki jumped up. "Cool! What is it? Like the username for it? Mine was/is Bloodstainedhowl."

"Oh it's theblackangel07.." She replied.

"Coolio! Too bad I can't look it up.. I'd love to see your art." Kurotsuki starting thinking. "Hmm.. The black angel huh?" She rubbed her chin. "Well, if you don't like your name, can I call you Blacky?" (>D You know I had to have Kurotsuki call her the nickname I gave her.. XD).

(A/N: From this point Sarah is going to be replaced with Blacky~ o3o)

"Oh yeah, that's fine I guess." Blacky smiled grew a bit. "So, Kurotsuki will you take me to the activity center?"

Kurotsuki jumped up from her bed and stood up, causing Blacky to jump a bit. (I do this a lot instead of slowly getting up like a normal person XD). She seemed to have a serious thinking face as she looked at around the small room. "Sure. But eat first." Kurotsuki replied, pointing at the tray of food.

"But isn't that yours?"

"Yeah. But I'm not hungry so it's fine."

Blacky seemed hesitant. "If you say so." And she started to eat. (A/N: Don't ask what food it is. It's just food. =I)

Kurotsuki smiled and laid down again. "Wake me up when you're done please? I'm still kind of tired." Kurotsuki yawned and closed her eyes to sleep; soon a snoring noise was heard from her direction.

'Wow. She fell asleep fast.'
----------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~----------------------

"Well. This's it." Kurotsuki said as her and Blacky entered a room that looked almost like a kindergarten center for adult. The only thing missing was crude cartoon characters on the walls and 'ABC' and '123' posters. The older of the people were gathered around a TV in the other room. All the tables in the room were round, and there was one that was marked with red marker saying "Special Girl's table" and no one was sitting at it.  Kurotsuki sighed mentally at seeing it.

"Why is everyone quiet? And why does that table have 'Special girl's table' written on it?" Blacky whispered to Kurotsuki. She looked around the room, and everyone was hunched over at their tables whispering among each other, and constantly taking quick looks back at the two girls. It made Blacky feel a bit uneasy.

Kurotsuki seemed to be ignoring the attention, or she was just used to it. "Because I'm here. And a bit of you being here as well." Blacky didn't really understand that sentence and tried to make sense of it. Kurotsuki started to walk over to the table with the red marker on it, and counted out loud. "1… 2.. 3.." Blacky looked at her funny, wondering what she was counting to. "4… 5."

Blacky jumped as most of the room erupted in laughing and a few of the people did a bit of outbursts such as "Look now they've even given Special Girl a playmate!" or "Here's the royal majesty with her new wife!" Kurotsuki just ignored them. Her only acknowledgement of the words was a twitch of her eye, and she motioned for Blacky to sit at the table, but Blacky was hesitant.

"If you want, you could sit with someone else. It'd probably be better for you." Kurotsuki said in a blank voice and a now sad expression on her face. She turned around and walked away towards a few cubbies before Blacky could respond.

Blacky sat down and watched Kurotsuki as she fetched some things from the cubbies. Kurotsuki came back with a box full of colored pencils and a big stack of paper. "Here, I like drawing with colored pencils so I hope you don't mind. But if you do I can get something else." She set the colored pencils in-between her and Blacky as she sat down. She split the pile of papers in half and set one half in front of Blacky.

"No, it's fine." Blacky smiled, but then frowned. "Kurotsuki, what were they all talking about."

Kurotsuki had already started drawing, and she paused for a second, but continued. "I'll tell you later, 'kay?" She continued to draw, and didn't look up from it while speaking.

Blacky nodded and began drawing as well. Every once and a while Blacky would look up and see what Kurotsuki was drawing. Kurotsuki was drawing a wolf, which seemed to be trapped in barbed wire. Blacky looked at her expression and it seemed blank.

Kurotsuki was in her drawing state, and was oblivious to all around her other than her drawing, so she didn't notice. Once she was done with the lines, she looked up to see what Blacky's looked like. "That's good. Who're you drawing?" Kurotsuki asked.

Blacky jumped. "Huh?"

"Your drawings good. Who is it of?" She repeated.

"O-oh. It's one of my.. Characters named Wrath."

"That's an interesting name. Why's he named that?"

"It's because he's the essence of Wrath itself."

"That's really cool." Kurotsuki said, abruptly grabbing the picture to look at it. "He's cute looking. What does he look like without the hood though?"

"Huh? Cute? How so?"

"I dun know, there's just something about him that seems cute. It's hard to explain.. I'm just kind of weird."

"Don't you have to be, to be in this place?.. Oh and I'll draw you a picture of what he looks like without his hood."

"Alright. Sounds good." Than a thought hit Kurotsuki. "Hey Blacky, how exactly did you end up here?"

Blacky seemed to jump at the question. "Erm. I'll tell you later.."

"I understand, ok."

They continued drawing in silence for a few hours. From time to time they'd show each other their drawings. Kurotsuki really liked Blacky's art, and it made Blacky feel good because she really like Kurotsuki's works. Kurotsuki had worked on all her drawings for at least an hour each, and thus only had a few works done.

"Hey Blacky, are you hungry?" Kurotsuki said, as she added the last detail to one of her drawings of an owl.

"Yeah, kind of."

"Let's go eat than." Kurotsuki straightened her stack of drawings  and put all the excess things away.
